Celeborn was enjoying a delightful evening with his wife in bed when his stomach growled in hunger. She laughed at him as she pushed him away.
“I see I must feed my silver tree before I can make him grow again,” she giggled as she ran her fingers down his stomach to his groin and stroked him a few times. At his groan she let go and grabbed her dressing gown. “I will be right back with a snack while you rest up.”
“Hurry before I decide to snack on you instead,” he teased as he playfully swiped at her.
“Promise?” she asked laughingly as she skipped out the door and headed for the kitchens. It was late enough that few servants were around so she didn’t worry about what would be said about her dress. If the elves of Lothlorien had not realized their ways by now then they could be shocked. Of course, if she ran into her future son-in-law she would probably have to explain herself. That elf was just too innocent for his own good. How he had managed to turn out that way after being raised by first the Feanorians, then Cirdan and Gil-Galad, she would never know but he was.
As she entered the kitchens, she stopped in shock. Celebrían was in the process of painting the exposed skin of her future husband with chocolate as he lay across the table laughing. At her shocked gasp, they both turned and froze.
“What is going on in here?” Galadriel demanded.
Elrond turned bright red and quickly pulled his robe closed as he sat up. Celebrían was not so fazed as her love and decided to answer before he began making apologies.
“I am teaching him about some of the more enjoyable parts of binding,” she supplied. “Don’t worry; we have promise not to bond before the wedding.”
“Celebrían…” she began ominously. Her daughter just laughed as she pulled a stuttering Elrond from the room.
Shaking her head in defeat, Galadriel proceeded to make a plate of fruit and veggies with various dips. Glancing at the bowl of melted chocolate, she smiled to herself. Then she proceeded to add bowls of honey and grape jam to the tray before heading back to their rooms. As she left the kitchens she stopped and looked back at the chocolate before making a decision. Turning back, she reheated the chocolate so it would stay hot then added it to the tray. Celeborn loved chocolate and she could serve herself as a covered desert. After all, he had promised to snack on her. ‘Why should her daughter have all the fun?’ she thought to herself as she headed back upstairs.
